History and Direction

Polo Gear officially started in 1993 in Palm Beach, Florida, the polo capital of the United States, and many insist, the world. Polo Gear began with the mission to provide the polo community with the finest technical and apparel products that could be found for the sport of polo and with a vision that these products should reflect polo and the polo lifestyle.

Our objective was to take our 25 year experience as polo players and horsemen and combine them with our 25 years of work experience in design and in the wholesale, retail, and sports and apparel industry. Since 1993, we have been designing, manufacturing and marketing polo products. With the support of our many loyal and wonderful customers our business has grown and prospered. Any message about our company would be incomplete without a sincere note of appreciation to our wonderful clients who have made our success possible.

Polo Gear, whenever possible, strives to manufacture its products in the United States. Because polo is such an exclusive and international game, and since we truly live in a global world and economy, Polo Gear now sources throughout the world. Our objective is always to bring our customers the finest products at the best price. Polo Gear manufactures its custom team products and apparel mostly in our embroidery and production facility in Florida in the United States. Our strap goods are made in the United States, Argentina, England and our boots in the United States and Argentina. We search the world for craftsman and companies who understand our devotion to quality, technical excellence and innovation and who share our philosophy and mission: The goal of bringing our customers the finest most innovative products at a fair price.

Polo Gear goals for the future are to expand our product offerings and to continue to improve the technical aspects of all Polo Gear products; to increase performance through innovation. This innovation will take many forms: technologically advanced fabrics for improved performance, drying and durability, a massive effort to improve comfort and performance for horses through better saddle fit, and mallets and balls that will allow our players to hit further, easier, and more accurately, just to name a few. Polo Gear is striving to open more distribution through polo retailers in the United States and around the world. Polo Gear also seeks to expand the worlds awareness of our wonderful sport by making its apparel products available to customers outside the polo and equestrian world, in hopes that through these products they will gain interest and better understanding of our game.
